We recently called Danger Mouse the greatest producer of the last decade and looking at his credentials, it’s no wonder. Since he released his The Beatles/Jay-Z mashup project
The Grey Album, Danger Mouse has worked with Gorillaz, The Black Keys, Beck and is now working with U2. He’s even come from out of the studio to form bands with Cee-Lo (Gnarls Barkley) and The Shins’ James Mercer (Broken Bells).
Zooey Deschanel showed her great singing skills in the Will Ferrell film
Elf, and since has seemed able to stop working on several projects at once. Deschanel has had great roles in
Almost Famous, (500) Days of Summer and
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and is now starring on Fox’s
New Girl. She also collaborates with M. Ward to create She & Him, who are about to release their third album, and is the co-creator of the female-centric comedy website Hellogiggles.
It is almost amazing to think that only a decade ago, Jack White was just making a splash in the music scene with The White Stripes. Since then he’s done production with Loretta Lynn, created bands like The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, created his own record production company and store and has even played in a few films like
Cold Mountain and
Walk Hard.
When you’re one half of entertainment’s biggest marriages, you have to be able to be a great multitasker, and Beyonce has greatly proven that. After leaving Destiny’s Child, she released four solo albums, including this year’s
4 which she apparently recorded over 250 tracks for. She’s also starred in films like Austin Powers in
Goldmember,
Cadillac Records and
Dreamgirls. Beyonce even has her own clothing line, fragrance, has done great amounts of charity work and has had endorsement deals with Pepsi, Nintendo and Tommy Hilfiger.
James Franco has become the epitome of a workaholic. In the last few years, Franco has become a prolific and versatile actor, started directing, written a book of short stories, hosted the Academy Awards, directed dance theater pieces, endorsed Gucci’s fragrance line, accepted his doctorate at the University of Houston, attended Yale University, Rhode Island School of Design, Columbia University and is now teaching a class at New York University. If anyone wants to become a multitasker, it would be hard to beat Franco.
